I guess I would? it's part of the college experience, I guess. :/ sometimes you get lucky--my younger bro got a cool roomie that let him use his mini-fridge---and unlucky... my older bro got a total anime fanboy that he really, really didn't get along with. Dx

i would offer you the extra space my rents are planning on renting out at our new digs but it's kind of a half-hour commute from fullerton Dx;;;;

Eh, it's not so bad. I moved into a room with a random person last year, and with 3 random people sharing the apartment. It wasn't bad--while we weren't best friends, it was pretty cordial and we parted on good terms. Honestly, I know far more people who have gotten along superbly with their roommates and become friends than those who have had horrid experiences. Most people are at least capable of coexisting. Also, the nice part of living on campus is that if you DO get a roommate you are utterly incompatible with, you can go to the administration and request a room transfer. Which...so isn't something that is possible in the outside, non-school world xD

If it means anything, I am moving back on campus next year and I have no idea who my roommate will be, but I'm sufficiently optimistic that we'll at least get along that I'm not worried at all :) I'd say go for it.

I've never had a same-room room mate, so my answer might be biased. Personally I think I'd hate living in the same room as someone else =P Small things like getting dressed/undressed would annoy me to death, and I like having a room to work in during the late hours. And having a boyfriend wouldn't work too well.

On the other hand, my experiances finding apartments, both here and in California has been pleasant. When do you have to respond to the Residence offer? Maybe you could look for other housing in the mean time, and if you don't find any, take residence.

This looks like a lot of options to me: http://www.fullerton.edu/housing/apartments.htm

And Craig's list, Orange County - Fullerton - All Housing
http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/search/hhh?query=fullerton%20

They've got bachelor pads for around $1000, which is a little pricey to me

but if you find a room mate, you can get a 2 bedroom for around $750 each.

Here's a room for rent- no need to search for a roomie.

Newly Renovated, 5 min to Disneyland Lol

Private bathroom.

Ah there's tons of listings! This is waaay more hits than I got when I moved to burbank. I'd skip Residence for sure.

Haha, it's okay, I'll figure it out somehow, even if I have to like sleep on the balcony of my room every night. :P

Lurk away! :]

Hey well maybe next year you can get a single occupancy room and then we could be dormmates. That is if you don't totally hate dorms by next May hahaha
